Odin vs Steam Deck and Ayn Pro are the consoles everyone is talking about now. Two very big consoles compared to the other options, but both offer excellent modeling possibilities.
Which is the best? The answer to this question is daunting. If you were to compare the Odin Pro with devices like the Powkiddy RGB20S or the Retroid Pocket 2+, you’d finish in five minutes and the Ayn would take the top spot. With two basic systems, however, it’s a bit more complicated. Let’s start with that and decide which handheld is the winner.
Ayn
The second product on this list is another product that is not a computer but is still a handheld gaming device with a design similar to Steam Deck: the Odin Ayn is an Android gadget with great features and an affordable price. It has 64 GB of internal memory, an octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor, and 4 GB of LDDP4 memory (128 GB in the Pro model). The six-inch touchscreen consumes much less than the Deck Vapor but has a higher resolution (the Deck Vapor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 compared to 1280 x 800).

The two best portable consoles on the market are the Steam Deck and the Ayn Odin. To help you make the right decision, we’ve put them side by side and decided which is better.
Is the Ayn Odin compatible with Steam?
With Steam Link, which allows users to connect to a Steam-compatible computer, you can run Steam on Odin. However, users must connect their computers to the same Wi-Fi network as their Odin vs steam deck device.
Alternatively, you can install Windows on your Odin device. Users can use the Odin app to download and install Steam on Windows and access the game without any problems.
What can Steam Deck replicate?
When I discovered Retro Resolve, a website dedicated to retro games, I couldn’t wait to see what Steam Deck could do. It can be used with state-of-the-art retro systems such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
There is one caveat. Not all games work seamlessly. However, you can try out a lot of games, which is the advantage of an emulator. But compatibility is enough to make it the right choice. The interesting thing about Steam Deck emulation is that you can use the emulator settings to improve performance.
What can Odin Pro emulate?
It goes without saying that you probably won’t be able to play Odin Pro on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Does that really matter? Price doesn’t matter.
The target audience for Odin Pro is a specific audience. Someone who just wants a good device to play old video games, not the latest technology. In a market where all products use the same RK3326 chipset, the Odin Pro is a breath of fresh air.
What does Odin Pro imitate? A win. All the great features of older consoles such as SNES and N64 are available, such as innovative shadows, higher resolution, and landscape widgets.
Despite its impressive specifications, Odin Pro had to give up at some point; the PlayStation 2 is a prime example of Odin Pro’s failure. Some games worked fine, but as they became more complex, they suffered.
I want to stress that despite this, Odin Pro is not a bad product. The console itself is an example of what is possible in this price range. Remember that when advanced technology is compared to even more advanced technology, the system always looks inferior on paper.
Sega: Dream Cast, Genesis, Master System, Game Gear, SegaCD, and Sega32x.
NES, SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, DS, 3DS, N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch, are all Nintendo consoles.
PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable have registered trademarks of Sony.
Application
Both are suitable for streaming, but Steam Deck is better suited for emulation and running games that require a system.
Steam Deck works better than AYN Odin because it has better hardware. At least for the AAA games tested, Steam Deck ran smoothly at 30 frames per second. Most Android games run on AYN Odin, but there are smartphones with better SoCs that run these Android games more efficiently.
Since Steam Deck can emulate some PS3 games, it also offers better emulation performance. On the other hand, AYN Odin Pro can only emulate PS2 games and some GameCube and Wii games. Since it can only emulate PS1 and Dreamcast games, the Lite model is even more limited.
The two models are similar because of the minimum hardware required to stream games. The AYN Odin is more portable due to its smaller size, but Steam Deck’s larger screen offers a more immersive experience. The AYN Odin’s battery lasts between 4 and 7 hours, depending on usage. Steam Deck’s battery lasts between 2 and 8 hours.
Odin or Steam Deck: which is better?
For most users, Steam Deck is the better choice. Your preferences and choices are very important. If you want to have the best gaming experience, Steam Deck is the ideal choice. If you have a limited budget or like niche video games, Odin might be a better choice. If you decide you don’t need Steam Deck’s support and premium features, Odin is still a good choice, but Steam Deck is unbeatable.
